Let’s be honest, once you have a baby they take over your life( in a great way!), including all their gear! We are so blessed to have little Emma and her endless colourful toys. Emma’s hang out zone is right next to our living area and across from our kitchen. This is a space we walk past and look at all day. For my sanity I knew I needed to restyle her play area!
We kicked off the challenge this round by receiving our new cabinets. They aren’t even unpacked yet and I am beyond thrilled to have them. I may just breakdown and unbox one early just so I can see the beautiful colour I picked them in!
Emma’s space after! VOILA!!
piece is Emma’s soft foam mat. I picked up the Large Wicker Basket from IKEA to store Emma’s stuffed animals. I may steal it back and put it in our room I love it so much!
I picked up the two prints on the far wall from my local homesense. The animal prints to the right were purchased at a small local shop in Tofino before I was even pregnant! The Letter Board is a fun addition I grabbed off Amazon.
I have endless home projects in the works as we’re 7 months in from our move from NYC to NC and sometimes don’t know where to start or what takes priority. Sometimes it’s where we spend most of our time that takes priority but sometimes one piece of furniture can be the start of it all.
Thank you Birch Lane for sponsoring this post.
The play kitchen we were given as a gift for Emma. This piece was a lucky find at Winners. I love the farmhouse sink and white shaker cabinetry of this mini kitchen! The best part? It matches our own kitchen across the room!
This coming week will include finishing drywall, replacing a couple floor boards, painting, and any remaining odds and ends to prep for cabinet install!
Don’t forget to check back in with all the other One Room Challenge participants here to see their progress this week.
